Friday, Josh’s parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! We hosted a reception for them on Saturday afternoon at their church to celebrate this big milestone.

Instead of a guest book, guests signed this engraved sliver platter with a diamond tip pen so that their signatures were engraved into the platter. It looked so neat at the end of reception with all the signatures on it! I wish I had gotten a picture of it.
Josh’s parents photographer didn’t show-up to their wedding, so they have no pictures from their wedding day. We had to use separate photos of them on the cake table.
Josh and I had to transport this cake (already tiered) in the car 30 miles and set it up at the church! Thank goodness it survived! :) We had this wedding cake made at the same bakery our wedding cakes were from. It is one of our favorites!
Engraved cake cutters!
Food, cake and punch table.
Tables and chairs for guests
Pretty coral roses were at the center of each table.
Our family with Josh’s parents
Sweet Jilly Kate! She kept snatching pita chips off of the food table! Ha!
Jillian and Shawn- I started babysitting Shawn when he was about 6 months old. He was also the ring bearer in our wedding. Crazy how much he has grown! I was happy to see him and his family this weekend.
I didn’t get any pictures of the guests since I was busy talking, but we had such a fun afternoon with Josh’s family and their friends. I think it was special day for Josh’s parents as well!
