A Winner and Our Weekend

We had to go old-school on the giveaway drawing and put all the names from the comments in a bowl and let Brody draw. The blogger issues this past week made it impossible for me to use the random generator, so Brody drew a name for us this morning!

Congratulations, Rikki!!!

Josh worked late on Friday night, so I spent my night making baby food for Jillian. Wild and crazy Friday night at our house! :) I made all the vegetables but didn’t get around to making the fruit yet. Hopefully, I will get that finished today or tonight. (And I know a few of you asked last time if I would share how I made baby food and I promise to do that this week!)

Josh worked all day Saturday. The kids and I spent the morning at home and then stopped by the office to see Josh for a few minutes that afternoon.  We got to see their new Kiva robots while we were there. They are really cool!! Brody loved them!

The kids and I ran a few errands that afternoon while Josh continued to work. He got home in time for us to go to a graduation party for our friend, Adam.  He and Josh have been friends since they were little, but they also work together now. Adam and Heather’s families and a few close friends were all there to celebrate. We are so proud of Adam and all his hard work! And proud of Heather for being a great supporter and cheerleader for him! :)

My parents came to keep the kids so it was a little date night for us!

Our friend, Ally, made these cute Razorback cookies and cupcakes for the party!

These tasted as good as they looked!

Sunday, we went to church, to lunch, and then Josh headed back to work for about 5 more hours of fun! The kids napped and then we went to a birthday party for Brody’s friend, Trenton.

Brody loved the cake and ice cream!

After the party, we made a quick stop by the store and then headed home. I quickly cooked dinner for the Greens, the Fites, and the Owens. All the husbands and Ally work with Josh and they had all been busy working long hours this week and working all weekend, so I thought dinner was a good way to end the busy weekend. They all came home with Josh once they left work around 7. We had a fun night with all of them!

Hope you had a great weekend as well!

What a busy weekend! You are such an awesome wife and mother. I can't wait to hear about making the baby food. I would love to make baby food for our Cooper that will be here in 8 weeks or less!

You are amazing! I was wondering if you'd be willing to share a few of your favorite/go-to recipes? I cook every night for our family and sometimes I feel like I'm in a rut... always open to good ones that other mommas use!
