Bible verse

This year at Mother's Day Out, Brody's class has been working on memorizing Bible verses. I decided that since he was memorizing verses at church, then we should be helping him memorize scripture at home. We started with a short, easy verse since he is so young. Josh and I have been saying it over and over to Brody randomly throughout the week. We are hoping to do a new verse every few weeks. Hopefully, when he is older, he will have memorized many scriptures that he will be able to recall in the good times and the hard times.

Here is a video of him attempting to say his Bible verse from this week, which was 1 John 4:8. He finally says it at the end of the video. :)

so sweet! Have you ever heard of Hide 'Em in Your Heart by Steve Green? We listened to that as kids and I still remember verses to those songs to this day. I think you can buy the CD on amazon.com. It's all scripture being sung by kids.

Jennifer, that is just so adorable. To hear a little one Brody's age recall scripture, is just precious. You are so blessed, with beautiful children, and hearing Brody recall his Bible verse, must truly make your heart swell. Brought tears to my eyes.
God Bless you Brody, and of course Jillian Kate also!

This is just precious! I love it! I used to listen to "GT and the Halo Express" when I was very young, and I still remember all those verses many years later...what a great foundation for your kids!

My daughter is 2 also, and we have started working on Bible memorization as well. I have found this website to be helpful: http://www.hubbardscupboard.org/bible_memorization.html

If you look on the sidebar, there are many other cute activities for at home (i.e. crafts, beginning math, language, etc.).

Oh I love this. His sweet little voice!! It is never too early to start teaching them God's Word. My brother teaches my almost 3 year old nephew Bible verses. They put hand motions to the long ones and he is able to remember them! Can't wait to teach Amelia her first Bible verse.

You're a wonderful Mama!

Amzing...isn't it what children are capable of?? I have a 4 year old that's in Pre-K and they learn a verse for every letter. For "A" it was "All have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD" Romans 3:23. It makes me proud to hear her recite the verse!!!
I've been reading your blog for a while and think I found it through Kelly's Korner. I followed your entire pregnancy with Jillian! My 2nd daughter Maycie was born September 28th and I love seeing Jillian, as they are so close in age! She is a little doll!
We are breastfeeding too! Is it hard for you? Do you feel like you do it all day?
You have a beautiful family!

I have enjoyed reading your blog for awhile--your brody is about the same age as Evan- and I also have another lil boy, Pierson who is about to turn one! Busy life! Just know we would be friends if we lived near each other!
