Boy or Girl??

Josh and I thought it would be fun this weekend to try some of the gender prediction tests. I have heard all kinds of ways so we tried a few and I thought I would share the results with you all.

The Chinese Gender Chart- BOY

Heart rate- GIRL

Even and Odd Test- BOY

Ring Test- GIRL

Morning Sickness- GIRL

Online Old Wives Tale Test- GIRL

Every single one of these tests were GIRL when we did them with Brody so obviously they are not accurate at all! Ha! It was still fun to try these and see what gender was predicted.

We go for our big ultrasound 2 weeks from today. We can hardly wait! Either way we will be THRILLED! We are just praying that we have a very healthy baby. Finding out the gender that day will just be icing on the cake :)

The other two test I know about are the Drano test and the Gender Kit. I didn't try either of those with Brody but it might be fun to try them this time around.

Are there any more gender tests I should try before May 3rd???

I did the Chinese Gender Chart and it told the true about the gender my two children! I vote BOY on that alone!!

Oh, gosh, that's funny! All of mine were 'girl' with Aaron! Except for the random Asian woman who stopped me and told me with certainty that I was having a boy. If you can find her I think that would help! :)

I too, vote for the Chinese gender chart, they were right for both of my kids. I also used the Intelligender test with my 2nd and it was right. It was a waste of $30, as the results can go either way and they obviously have a 50% chance of being right, but it was fun to do anyway!

Can't wait to hear!

That is so funny!! I hear that the Chinese birth chart is more accurate than not and that came from my gyno...still fun to play around until you find out the actual gender. Either way...boy or girl...your baby will be precious. Brody sure is.

Well, I can tell you one thing, it will be a Boy OR a Girl! All of those have a 50% success rate. I just found out last week I'm having a (second) BOY and every single test, including "mother's intuition" told my husband and me we were having a GIRL. So glad I hadn't started shopping!

Here are the two that worked for me:

Is Brody's hair line in the back a V or a straight line? My first son had a straight line and that means the next child is a boy, my second son has a rat tail BIG V and that means a girl next. TRUE!

And acne! I didn't have acne at much before or during my boys' pregnancies but with this girl I had severe acne! It was aweful!!

Mine was girl for all except the chinese predictor test. So, really it was the only "accurate" one. Haha! :-) I still vote boy.

Try the Drano test! Everyone including myself that has done, it's been accurate! The chinese gender told me I was having a boy, but I have a precious (almost 3 yr old) little girl!

Oh, I think it's a girl! I never did any gender prediction tests...I was hoping for a girl so I was afraid I'd end up getting my hopes up! And I had a feeling early on I was having a girl..and I was right. I think mommas always know!! I think it's a girl!

Ive always heard that the chinese calendar is correct, most of the time. There was some study that was done with 100 pregnant women. It was 90% correct so good odds, crazy! I can't wait to find out!

The only other thing (not really a test) I can think of right now was ... if you are typically craving spicy food, it's likely to be a boy. If you are craving citrus foods, girl. And one of the nurses I work with always guesses genders, and she has not been wrong in almost 30 years!! She looks at a pregnant girl from the back, and she says something about the way their hind end looks...haha....it apparently works for her! ;o) Oh! And my dentist says that if you are prettier when you are pregnant (i.e. "glowing"), it's a boy...since the baby girl sucks up all your estrogen and other female hormones, making you and your skin look worse than when you are not pregnant. HAHA! I can't wait till y'all find out!

I have been reading your blog for the past year. Congrats on baby #2. What a wonderful blessing! I have a 3 year old boy and chinese calendar told me it was a girl. My sister is preggo with her 2nd. She did intelligender and it said BOY. She is having another boy. It's very accurate if you follow the directions! Good luck. Praying for a healthy baby! Hilary

I did them all! And most said girl. The chinese chart always seems to be right but I think you are having a girl.
I've heard what Katie said above but I felt like my hair and skin never looked better than when I was pregnant.
Who knows but I know I can NOT WAIT to hear!!!

Normally I have a feel for what gender someone's baby will be but I can't tell with you but I'm leaning towards BOY...can't wait to find out!
I've always wondered what it would be like to actually prepare for a boy or a girl...we don't really have that option but surprises can also be fun. :)

We opted not to find out the gender of our second child, so the gender test were pretty fun to do. The Chinese Gender Chart said girl, but we were blessed with a baby boy in January. I have a book full of old wives tales and one that I’m a firm believer in is having a broken vein in your eye that is an upside down V. If you have the broken vein in your right eye- it’s a boy and if the vein is in your left eye it’s a girl. There were three other girls that were pregnant the same time I was and the vein was true for all of us. My right eye was were the vein was and I had a little boy!

Well, the Chinese birth chart told me I was having a girl and I am having a boy! A lady at my school swears by the pencil test! You take a regular pencil, stick a needle or something similar in the eraser and have a piece of thin thread hooked onto the needle. Then, have your arm stretched out palm up and have someone hold the thread and let the pencil dangle over your arm. If it's goes in circles, it's supposed to be girl. If it swings back and forth, it's supposed to be a boy. I did it SEVERAL times and it said boy every single time! And it was right! I think you'll have a girl!

I Tried the red cabbage gender test and it was right...i am on www.cafemom.com in the pregnancy group (you should join, you can get lots of great advice, i am a mod there!)
and out of MOST of the woman who did this test it was right!

You add red cabbage to boiling water and boil for 10 minutes then add equal parts urine to the water from the boiled cabbage. If it turns pink or red it means boy and purple means girl. (best results with first morning urine)

I think you are having a girl!!! You should do the store bought gender test and tell how it works. I wanted to do it while I was pregnant since we were not finding out the gender. But, then I decided I didn't want to get my hopes up one way or the other and it be wrong! That would stink!

I totally think you are having a girl, my feeling just comes from my gut. We shall see....can't wait!
