Baby's First Pictures

First, thank you SO MUCH for all of your wonderful comments! Your sweet words mean so much to us. Thank you for taking the time to celebrate with our family. I am overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness.

Secondly, I just LOVE my blog makeover! Melissa did it for us! She was wonderful to work with and such an encouragement to me! She is just the sweetest girl and has been so fun to get to know. If you need a blog makeover, please check her blog out! She is so good and sooooo quick! I gave her very little direction and she designed exactly what I had in mind. She is great!

Now on to baby news....The past 6 weeks have been a little eventful. Without going into too many details, we had an issue when I was 5 weeks pregnant. I had, what my doctor believes to be, a broken blood vessel in my uterus that caused a lot of bleeding. This lasted over a 4 week period and we were not sure if I would miscarry or not. I went in for weekly ultrasounds to monitor the bleeding and to check on our sweet baby. Each time, we could see our little one and a little flicker of a heartbeat. We were able to hear the heartbeat at two of the appointments on the ultrasound. Such a precious sound to our ears.

Right now, everything looks good and my doctor was very encouraged by the progress I made by week 8. She actually hasn't had me come in for any more ultrasounds and told me, "she would stop obsessing about it for now!" I just love her! She is so honest with us, yet so encouraging as well. She really is such a blessing to our family!

We go next week for our 11 week appoinment and to hear the heartbeat! I am looking forward to good news. Once we hear the heartbeat and know that everything is ok, I can get back to normal things. I haven't been able to really workout or lift heavy things, such as groceries, laundry, etc. She encouraged me not to pick-up Brody unless it was necessary. That has been difficult to try and remember.

The plus side to these appointments was that we got to see the baby weekly. I just loved seeing how much he/she grew from week to week! It was amazing to see.

Here is little bit! I love him/her so much already!

This is at 6 weeks!

This is at 7 weeks!

And of course, here is our first baby...Have I told y'all how much we love him? So much that our hearts might explode!Hope you have a wonderful day!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers! It's true - I never imagined that I would love Evie so much that it feels like my heart could explode. It sounds crazy but I worry about loving my next baby this much but I am sure the heart just gets bigger!

Hi there, First I wanted to say thanks for posting about the Date Experiment, my husband and I are following along from Florida and loving it.

Next I just wanted to share my first pregnancy experience that was similar. When I was pregnant with my daughter Ivy, our first pregnancy, at about 7 weeks I started bleeding a lot. Of course you only think the worst. When I went in they did a wand ultra sound and said that I had a blood clot in my uterus and there was nothing they could do. I continued to bleed until about 12weeks sporatically and they kept monitoring with the ultra sound as well. It finally stopped and everything continued to go on track. She was born healthy at 7 lbs, but those first few months were scarey so I know how it feels. But she is a happy and healthy 12 1/2 girl, so all that worry was for nothing. I wish you all the best!

Jennifer, I am so excited for you guys. This is wonderful news and most certainly worth rejoicing. Brody will be a great Big Brother. My sweet babies are 20 months apart and it is awesome. It is alot of work in the beginning, but so rewarding to have them so close. You are in my prayers.

I am so happy things are going better for you now. It is so hard to relax and enjoy pregnancy sometimes with all the things that can happen.

I go to the same climic you do (I assume I do since we delivered at the same hospital) and I LOVE the doctors there. I have not seen all of them, only a few, but the ones I have seen are great and my main doctor is the best!

I forgot to mention I saw you in the mall two Fridays ago, but it was at a distance and Josh and Brody were with you so I didn't want to interupt family time.
