Appointment, Brody, and Easter Candy

Thank you for all your sweet comments, tweets, text messages and phone calls letting us know you were praying for us today. My appointment went great this morning! We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was in the 130s until he/she started flipping around and then it got up in the 150s. You could hear big thumps on the doppler while he/she was moving and flipping. It was such a sweet and reassuring sound to hear. We are so thankful for such a great appointment and finally feel like we can breathe a big sigh of relief! I can also get back to normal activities now so I am looking forward to running this weekend...if my body still remembers how to run. I can also lift heavier things again, which means no excuses not to carry laundry and groceries now. Ha! :)

This afternoon, Brody and I spent a lot of time in his room playing. He was so entertaining! I just love his sweet personality. He is such a joy!I have been trying to let Brody fed himself with a spoon lately. Sometimes the clean freak in me doesn't want to mess with the clean-up so I just feed him myself, but I know that isn't helping him at all. Tonight, I just took a deep breath, handed him the spoon, and stepped away. It was hilarious! He loved every second of it, but he still needs some work. His hair was covered as were his clothes. I had a bib on him but he likes to take them off. This boy got a bath once he was finished feeding himself. ;) I am about to get on the couch and relax. I haven't taken a break for even a second today. It's been one of those busy days, so I am looking forward to watching some TV and eating some of these.....Does anyone else love Easter candy like I do? I love the Reese's eggs, but my favorite is the Cadbury mini eggs. My college roommate got me addicted to those at Easter our Senior year and now I buy way too many bags each year!

What is your favorite Easter candy??

YEA! Soo happy your appointment went well!

I was the same way with my kids and handing over the spoon - ha! Just today we had applesauce at lunch and my 2 year old made such a mess - but she's learning!

My favorite Easter candy is the Reese's eggs (picked up 2 small ones today!) and the Cadbury mini eggs! I do not share those ones!! ha!

Blessings to you and your family!

Congrats on baby #2! We had a sweet baby boy almost 7 months ago. I'm loving it!!

I am a complete nut about Cadbury creme eggs. mmmm... Makes me want one NoW! ha! I'm trying to do good tho'. Still many many pounds to lose from little Babycakes. (he's worth it!)

Reese's Eggs are definitely my favorite Easter candy, but they've gotta be fresh! There is nothing worse than a stale peanut butter cup with dry peanut butter.

that picture of Brody is hilarious! I am a clean freak too, so I am kind of strict when it comes to eating. Have you thought about using Baby Bjorn bibs on him? My son loved to pull bibs off, but that quickly ended when I bought the Bjorn bibs. You can get them at Target.com
Just a thought!

good for you for letting brody try to feed himself! i know that takes incredible patience! i let parker feed himself bananas yesterday, but it turned more into smashing the bananas in his hand and smearing them all over his face then whine when i cleaned him up with a wet wash cloth. ohh it was so hard to stay calm and happy, but such is the life of a mom :)

can't wait to find out what your baby #2 is. my guess is boy!!!

Ooooo, I love Cadbury eggs too and sweettart jellybeans and sour starburst jellybeans! Yum!

Cadbury Eggs are my favorite!

I am SO glad I am not the only parent that has issues with letting the baby have the spoon. I am working on it, as well.

Aaron has that same outfit Brody wore last night.

Yep Cadbury mini eggs for me too! I love the malted eggs too! Oh those Reese's eggs look yummy too! Hmmm, you can tell I am finally past the first tri-mester? We are due with #4 in August. Oh, I also commented on your toilet post that Brody had put stuff in your toilet. We thought we had a tennis ball down the toilet. Turns out it was a princess little girl size hairbrush!! My husband and my father-in-law ended up having to take the whole toilet off the floor and get it unplugged. YUCK!!! Thank goodness for an unplugged toilet. And yes that brush went directly into the trash. Ewww!

very happy to hear the baby is doing great!! I LOVE the Reese PB eggs. Something about the holiday reese's are so much better than regular reese. Christmas trees, hearts and the egss. YUM!! Landon only wants to feed himself these days it is hard to let go and let him do it because its just another mess you have to clean up, but they have to learn some how. have a good weekend.

So glad your appointment went well. And I'd like to tell you the whole messy feeding thing gets better, but Caedmon still makes a huge mess sometimes.

As for the Easter candy, it's my absolute favorite. I could eat my weight in Robin's Eggs. They are my absolute favorite.
