New Year's Eve

We had a wild and crazy New Year's Eve! Ok, I am completely kidding. I was the only person awake at my house when the ball dropped. That's how we roll around here. This is Brody's wild and crazy face. :)
Julee stopped by the house earlier yesterday and offered to keep Brody if Josh and I wanted to go to dinner. Of course, we took her up on the offer. We dropped him off to play with Julee, Matt and Romeo and headed to eat Mexican food, followed by a quick trip to Walmart. (See, I told you, wild and crazy.) Then, we headed back to get our boy. I think we were gone about an hour and a half. Ha! We just love nights with our little man.
Brody loves spending time with JuJu!They are so silly!Julee gives Romeo cheese as a treat for doing tricks. Brody was begging for a bite of cheese while Romeo performed for us. My two boys. I love them so much. We took about 6 family pictures and this was the best one. Brody's new thing is to open his mouth when you say "1-2-3". As soon as you are finished taking the picture, he smiles and laughs. I have no idea why he thinks it's cute to pose with his mouth wide open. Maybe it's because we laugh every single time he does it! :)

Happy New Years and Happy Friday!
What did you do last night?

My mom and I just went to a friend's house and we usually eat snacks and play board games. Last night, her daughter got this game called ZINGO. It's like BINGO, but for kids. We adults had a great time playing it as well. :)

We had Pizza, Velveeta cheese dip, little smokes wrapped in bacon with brown sugar sprinkled on top, and cheese ball, and just little finger foods. Mialyn crashed around 9 lol... and we just watched movies and then at 11:55 hurried and turned on the ball dropping lol and of course Erik and I went in Mialyn's room and gave her a kiss and told her Happy New Year! We are about as crazy as we are! lol haha I love having a family!

girl, im with you on staying home on new years. jason, landon and i went to eat at about 5:30pm (early i know, were old) then shopped at target for about 30mins. (we had a meltdown) and got back home at 7pm. were party animals cant you tell? Put on the jammies, Landon went to bed at 8pm and we were in bed at 10:30pm. We didnt make it to midnight. we did DVR the ball drop and will watch sometime today. we wanted to spend the night with our little man and didnt want to take any chances being on the road with all the crazies in nashville. haha. hope you had a nice night with your family.

Glad to know we weren't the only celebration-less family :) I've already got one up from last year while pregnant, I actually stayed awake this time. So maybe next year we will actually do something. One step at a time :)

We prefer low key New Years Eves! I'd much rather ring in the new year in my pajamas with the people I love, rather than at a crowded party where I can barely move.

Have a happy 2010 :)

Love it! That boy is darling. I love the open mouth pose! Too cute.
We had about a thousand reruns of The Office on DVR and watched those until the wee hours of the morning. Totally wild and crazy here, too. :)

Happy New Years Jen!! NYE was a bit different for us this year taking care of newborn!!! We watched "The Hangover" and then the last 15 minute's of Dick Clark before the ball dropped. We were pretty much awake until Jill finally went to sleep at 2am. I hope you have a blessed 2010!

What did we do last night? Almost the exact same thing as you except we had went out for steaks and took our little one with us. Even stopped at Walmart on the way home for milk and juice.

Happy New Year to your family. I'm a relatively new follower and decided today was the perfect time to leave my first comment!

I went to Amanda Ledford's house last night! And get this...I was looking at her refrigerator where she keeps all of her Christmas cards. I saw ya'll's on there and said "Hey, I know them" and had to think and rephrase that I only know ya'll from blogging. Totally seems like I know you for real! HA!

Since we just had a baby 5 weeks ago we had a couple of friends over. Made way too much food and played Wii games until 12. Had a toast at 12 and fell asleep!

We went to a friend's house and played games like Cranium and Apples to Apples! It was a nice evening. My aunt babysat Max for us! And I'm glad my post made you feel better. All toddlers go through these fit-throwing stages. Mine included! He is harder to deal with now that he has passed the one year mark! He is 16 months and getting more and more independent!! It is hard though, knowing what to do and what not to do when they throw temper tantrums. My sister-in-law, who raised two almost perfect children, said that when they throw a fit, leave the room and do nothing in response. Then, they will stop. I don't know what to do when they do it in public!!

We went to see "Sherlock Holmes" at 3:35 p.m., then went to get a few things at Kroger, ate at Bob Evans and was home by 8:00. We both put on our jammies and watched TV. I'm not very brave about being out on the roads on NYE. It's much safer at home. Wonderful family picture :)
