When Brody wakes up in the mornings, he is usually pretty happy. We know he is up because we can hear him cooing or jabbering in his crib. Sometimes when we go in to get him we play peek-a-boo with him. His crib in near the door of his nursery, so we sneak in an squat by the side of the crib, then, we pull the bumper down and say "peek-a-boo!" Well, yesterday Brody decided to play the game first. I heard him talking and went in to get him and he was already peeking over the bumper. It was precious! We played back in forth for a little while. I think he really loves the game, now that he knows how to play!

And I have to brag on Brody! I have been determined to get rid of junk in our house. Anything we don't use, need or know we have is going out! Well, I started my little purging spree yesterday and decided to clean our file cabinet and coat closet out first. It was slightly awful, but I got it done! Brody was such big help! He took 3 naps yesterday and slept for almost 6 hours during the day! It was so nice, because I was able to get everything cleaned out and put away while he slept!
Today, I'm doing the guest bedroom/wedding closet. I call it the wedding closet because it holds all our china, glass, and silver! If you don't hear from me in the next couple of days, then someone come look for me! I might be in there a while!
Saturday evening, we had a couples shower/cookout to attend for two of our college friends, Jenny and Tim. It was so much fun to see everyone. Jenny is one of my pledge sisters, so there were a lot of girls from our PC there. It was a different group from last weekend's shower so I have gotten to see a lot of the girls over the past two weekends! I seriously have not seen some of them since my wedding. That wouldn't seem like a huge deal since it was only a year and a half ago, but the fact that they never saw me pregnant and are just now meeting Brody makes it
feel like it has been a lot longer since I have seen them!

The long awaited meeting! Haha! Brooke is one of my best friends from college. She is in my PC and my senior year we lived next to each other in an apartment. We were also workout buddies! Brooke has been dying to meet Brody and I have wanted him to meet her so badly as well. I was supposed to be in Brooke's wedding in October. She got married on October 4th, Brody was born on October 3rd! Once we figured out my due date was the day before her wedding, we decided it might not be the best idea for me to try and be in it! Brooke told Brody he was the reason his mommy and daddy missed her wedding and when she said that he got a really sad face and almost started to cry! Haha! See Brooke, he really does feel bad about it!

Chase and Joy
And again. You girls can thank me later!
He passed out on Joy at the end of the night! He did this last week too and he NEVER falls asleep while people hold him! I think he was exhausted after going to two showers in one day. I would guess about 25 people held him that day between the two showers. He slept really well on the ride back to Fayetteville Saturday night!
This was right after he finished breakfast this morning. We have started giving him yogurt, in addition to the rice cereal and fruit baby food. He LOVES yogurt, preferably vanilla! :)
I seriously tried to get his picture with this canvas for 10 minutes and he WOULD NOT stop staring! Becca, he loves it! :)
Acting like such a big boy!
Last night, we celebrated Jill's birthday by going to a Lady Razorback softball game. My parents had a box at the game, so we had a few of our family friends join us for dinner and the game. We had a taco bar catered by one of our favorite places, Qdoba, and of course we had a Rick's Bakery cake. Here are several pictures from our night. It was so much fun!
Even if you are not a Hogs fan, you still have to admit the cake is pretty cute! I was so excited when I saw how it turned out!
Brody playing peek-a-boo with Big Daddy.

We definitly brought this little seat for Brody! Haha! It's like a bumbo, but with a lap strap! I felt so smart for bringing it. It was great for him to be able to sit in his own stadium seat. Not that he sat long, he was held and loved on most of the night!
This is the only picture I got of my mom all night! Sorry mom!
Watching the game at the end of the night!

I had to put the sign 2 feet in front of him because he kept trying to eat it! Crazy boy!
Today is my sister's birthday! She is 22 today. We are 26 months apart but I feel like she shouldn't be 22 yet! You're just growing up Jilly!! Haha!
Jill is one of the sweetest, most giving people I know. She is so generous and has such a big heart. She is the best sister anyone could ask for and the best aunt. Sometimes, she is a little too good of an aunt and I have to remind her to put down the debit card. Brody doesn't need everything!! :)
Jill, we love you and we are so proud of you!
Brody and I spent a little quality time outside today. HALLELUJAH for the spring weather!!! I remember how devastating it was for me when it would rain and I was working and we would have to skip both recesses and have inside recess. Oh.my.word. It made for the longest school days EVER. Then, when it was finally warm and sunny and beautiful like today and we would have extra long recess for our sanity. Seriously. Teachers have it hard in the winter and early spring. Be extra nice to your child's teacher during that time of year! Haha!
My attempt at taking a pic of the two of us! Haha! I love how sweet he looks at me. I hope he loves me like this when he is older.
Yesterday, my pledge sister, Rachel had a wedding shower in central Arkansas. Rachel is getting married to Julee's brother, Evan. Julee, Jill, and our friend Leslie, all met at my house yesterday morning and we headed down for the shower. Of course, Brody with us! I was so excited for him to get to go meet everyone. Most of my pledge class had only seen pictures of him and he is the first PC '05 baby. Probably the only one for a while if I were to guess!
The five of us at the shower. Brody was wanting down!

A few of the girls from my PC at the shower. There are about 20 more girls that make up our PC!
Brody was so great all day! He basically was running on no naps and had spent 3 hours of the day in the car, plus 2 hours being passed around at the shower. I'm pretty sure he maybe cried once and it was a "feed me now" cry. I was just so proud of him! Well, by the end of the shower he was about to pass out. He had missed both his morning and afternoon nap by this point. Jill picked him up and within about 30 seconds he was asleep! He never ever falls asleep when someone is holding him! Jill sister had a baby last Friday, so we think Jill just has the touch now that she is an aunt to baby Sloan!
Brody after Jill put him to sleep! He's about to be longer than his car seat.
After the shower, we ran by Rach and Evan's new house. Evan has already moved in and Rachel will move in after the wedding, but she has already decorated the house and it is beautiful!! They bought an older home and pretty much gutted it and remodeled it. You would not believe how different it looks! I fed Brody his dinner over there and then we headed back home.

Brody and Evan in their matching Polos! They said they didn't plan it!:)
