All About Brody

I feel like the last few days have been filled with stories about everything but Brody. Yes, it has been very cold this week and yes, there is still a little bit of ice and yes, our electricity still flickers, but this sweet little face just warms my heart! Brody is 17 weeks old and couldn't get any cuter to Josh and me. Everyday I tell Josh I couldn't love Brody any more than I do that day, but somehow the next day I love him even more!! He really, truly is the best thing that has ever happened to us. We are slightly crazy about him. I know all parents feel this way about their children, but seriously, we really are CRAZY! We just love him soooo much!

In November, I posted some pictures of Brody with a bear. Judy had suggested taking pictures of Brody every month with the bear to see how much he has grown. Well, I forgot last month but remembered this month! Here is a picture of Brody and Bear from November, then one of them from today.
He really has grown! And he has lost his hair, too! Ha!

Every little thing he does is like the most amazing thing to us! He is constantly learning, therefore, he is constantly doing something new and exciting. This week he showed us how he can hold his bottle all by himself. He takes most of his bottles at MDO, and takes very few at home, just because I'm around and it's easier that way. Josh was giving him a bottle the other night when he got home from work. Josh pulled it away to try and burp Brody, and when he did Brody sat up half-way and pulled it back into his mouth. Then, he just held it while he ate! It was so cute! Of course, we freaked out and took 30 pictures! Haha!
He can almost pull himself up when he is laying down. We have seen him do it once, but not really any other time since then. I have no idea how his little abs do not hurt him all the time. He is constantly do sit-ups trying to get up when we have him on his back. Also, he can barrel roll now! He just rolls around like crazy. He's so good at it that he gets from one place on the floor to another by rolling. Once he gets where he wants, he rolls onto his stomach and holds his head up like "ta da!" It's just so cute!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Sweet Harper

Kelly's update on Harper today is just the best new yet! It is so neat to see God answer our prayers for that sweet little girl. Isn't she just beautiful with her little flower headband? I love it!

Warm Thoughts

Josh and I were watching the Weather Channel and a commercial for Florida beaches came on. I wanted to be there so badly at that moment! I decided if I just think warm thoughts tonight, then maybe that will help me stay warm and toasty! I decided I would share some of our honeymoon pictures in an attempt to "think warm"! We went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and stayed at the Riu Palace. It was wonderful! I'm ready to go back. As a matter of fact, I would get on a plane right now to go there. If only we could get to the airport! HA!I wish we were waking up to this view!I wish we were staying at this beautiful resort!
I wish I was laying right here!
Josh wishes he was laying by the pool catching up on his US Weekly!! Haha! (I was the only one who thought to bring magazines with me, so he had to make due with what we had!)

I wish I was going to dinner at one of the yummy restaurants or the big buffet! They always had really fun watermelon sculptures. We think this was supposed to be Jesus(?).

The forcast for our area tonight is more sleet/ice/freezing rain. We are very blessed to have electricity for the time being. We have lost it twice today and both times it was off for a couple of hours. We have heard that many, many people in our area are without power. I hate thinking about people being cold tonight. Especially older people. It just breaks my heart! Pray for those without power. Hopefully, they can get it restored quickly. Enjoy your evening!

Let there be light!

Josh got home, started the fire (in like 4 seconds by the way) and then the power came on! I cannot explain how happy I was to hear the "pop" noise when everything turned on at once. I can still hear trees and limbs falling outside, but hopefully that will not cause our power to go out again. We have underground lines so I was surprised the electricity went out as fast as it did today. I'm praying it stays on now. It wouldn't bother me as bad if it was just Josh and me because we can handle the cold, but I just don't want our sweet baby freezing! He is in his little fleece footed pajamas and all snuggled up asleep in his swing right now. I'm about to go take a shower and then cook supper early so we at least have something to eat.

I will try to take some pictures and post them later!

Closing In!

Well, apparently this icy weather is going to stick around today. Josh decided after checking out the roads that he would go in and work a few hours. He left the house about 10:45 in his workout pants, a sweatshirt and a hat. Considering he wears khakis and button-ups to work, he really was going comfy today! When he left the house he almost took both sets of keys, saying that I was not going anywehre today. Which is true, but if he had taken my keys I would have felt stranded. I told him I needed them if there was an emergency!! Not that I'm brave enough to get out and drive on ice!

Update: As I was writing this our power went out! Stink! Josh is 20 miles away at work still. He is trying to hurry so he can come home. Their main office is in California so there isn't much sympathy for Josh and others when there is snow/ice because they don't really understand it!! Haha!! I've called Josh 5 times already. I'm not good at starting our fireplace and I would like to refrain for messing it up so I'm holding off on that! Brody and I are just hanging out in the dark. Good thing the girls don't run on electricity, or we would be in trouble when he gets hungry!! Ha! I haven't taken a shower, and now I can't Chi my hair which really stinks! This stuff is supposed to start re-freezing and I'm praying Josh gets home before then and doesn't have to spend the night in Lowell. It's 69 degrees in our house right now, so we are fine.I'm thinking we will be going to mom and dad's when he gets home! I'll update in a little while. Good thing I went to get some diet Cokes yesterday!!!Ha!!

New Blog, Harper and Ice

My sister ( also known as Aunt Jilly) finally started a blog!!! I'm so excited! She is so fun and I think you will enjoy reading her blog. Click HERE to check it out! Leave her a comment if you get a chance. She was really nervous about blogging! She is so cute!

Have y'all looked at Kelly's blog ? I was thrilled to see sweet little Harper's eyes tonight! I have probably clicked over there 20 million times just to look at her with those eyes opened! She is just beautiful! I can't wait to see her all decked out in her monogrammed dresses!

I'm blogging at 12:40 am. I'm just not tired and we are supposed to be getting a good amount of ice around here tonight, so I have been peeking out the window and praying the power stays on! I love snow, not a fan of ice. They closed schools early here today, which meant MDO closed early. In the middle of attacking the laundry and spot cleaning the house, my phone rang. It was Brody's MDO teacher telling me they would be closing in 30 minutes. I headed to pick him up. I called Josh and we tried to think of anything we might need if we were stuck in the house tomorrow. I think it is crazy how bonkers we all go over winter weather. You whisper the word snow around here and the shelves on the bread and milk aisles at the store are suddenly empty. We had just bought groceries on Saturday, so all we needed was Diet Coke.

So yes, I was the crazy who went to the store just for diet Coke. Let me tell you, diet Coke is a L.I.F.E or D.E.A.T.H matter when I'm going to be under house arrest due to bad weather. I got Julee some diet Pepsi while I was there too, so I felt like that was worth the trip. Yes, our drinking differences are what make us such good friends!! Ha!

I made fajitas for supper. They were some kind of good if I do say so myself. I also made a batch of the dreaded cookies! Ha! Heavens! I still get the chills when I say the word! I also managed to get soaked in Brody's spit up tonight. That's unusual around here, but none the less, we were all bored, so why not add a little excitement to our night! :)

Now we are just waiting to see if they were right about the weather. Schools are already closed for tomorrow. I would love a day at home with the boys with nothing to do, as long as we have electricity. They are both asleep which is where I should be, so I'm headed to bed!

Happy Birthday, Gigi!

Today is my mom's birthday! She is 52 today! I am dead for putting that on here, but I think she looks great for her age! She is the best mom. She would do anything for Jill and me. She is so much fun! There is never a dull moment with mom! She is the best Gigi to Brody, too. She is just crazy about him and has been since the moment we told her we were pregnant and she jumped and screamed all around her kitchen!

Happy Birthday Mom! We all love you very much!

P.S. Julee kept Brody for the first time last night and has posted some precious pictures on her blog! Go take a look!

3 Month Pictures

We had Brody's 3 month pictures made last week. Our photographer did a great job catching Brody's sweet expressions! I was afraid she wasn't going to be able to get very many good ones of him because he was such a little wiggle worm the entire session. He kept trying to roll off the table while she was taking the pictures! He is very fond of his new rolling talent! Ha! Wendy was so patient with us and was able to capture some really sweet moments. Here are a few of my favorites from the session. Go check out Wendy's website HERE! She is so great to work with and is very reasonable!!

Wendy also took Brody's newborn pictures when he was a week old. We have so many great ones from that session. Here is one of Josh and Brody from the newborn session. He is so little and all curled up on Josh. I just love it!

New Shoes

Aunt Jilly ordered Brody these oh so cute shoes for Christmas and they FINALLY came in today! They were not in a real hurry to get them to her, but we love them! She ordered them in a 6-12 month so he will be able to wear them when he is really started to scoot around. She also brought by some cute little outfits she picked up while she was out shopping. I can't wait to see him in those as well! Thank you Jill.

We had a really fun, but busy weekend! Josh and I went on a date Friday night! Yep, a real one. It was a lot of fun! We went to eat, then we went to Barnes and Noble. We got home in time for Josh to fall asleep on the couch. Perfect night in our book! Saturday, our friend, Stefan, came up for a visit. She had not seen Brody yet, so it was a really fun weekend getting to introduce him to her. She stayed with Matt and Julee, so we hung out over there on Saturday afternoon. Then, Julee, Stefan, Jill and I went to see Bride Wars. Later that night we went to eat at Abuelos. We had a really fun day with all of them! Stefan come see us again soon!

OK, so for a little honest moment here. I'm always honest, but this is personal honest!! Haha! And before you read this, BRODY WAS SOOO WORTH IT!!! Every single bit of it!!! Back to the subject....I lost all my baby weight pretty quick. I just have good genetics and it pretty much fell off. I was in my jeans a week exactly after Brody was born and I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant with him (probably because I lost all my muscle!!). Therefore, I have had no motivation to work out. I worked out a few times after my 6 weeks, but then I just got busy being a mom and I haven't really worked out much since then.

I'm not trying to lose weight, I just want to get back into shape. Once you have a baby things don't really look like they did before you got pregnant. If you have had a baby you know what I mean. I feel like my stomach is softer, and the girls are way bigger (plus and minus to that), and I have love handles and hips now. I swear my butt grew, too. It's just different. I hope that my doctor left my abs in when she did my c-section, but I'm not sure because I haven't seen them since March!! haha! I really want to feel good about myself again. So, I have committed myself to running in the Little Rock Relay Marathon in March. I ran in it my junior year of college and then, a month later, I did the Hogeye Half Marathon. I feel like this will be the best way to get me back into shape because I have to be in shape to run that day. Anyway, over the next few weeks I will keep you updated on my running. I feel like this will keep me a little more accountable. I went running tonight in the this nice 30 degree weather. I wanted to chug hot water when I got back inside because my throat hurt so bad!! Here is a picture of my before I went running! Cute, right? Please continue to pray for Harper and Brayden! They are both making improvements, but they still have a long road ahead of them. They need lots of prayers!!!

Keep Praying

Harper's momma and Harper's grandpa have both been updating this morning. Please keep praying for their family!

Also, please pray for
Jenna and Baby Brayden.

Please Pray for Harper

Please, please pray for

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

15 Weeks Old

Brody is 15 weeks old today!! He was really fascinated with his toes while I was taking his picture today!
This little outfit is from Gymboree. he looks like a lumber jack in person!
Sometimes Brody takes himself a little too seriously and forgets to smile!! Ha!

15 weeks ago today, I was doing what this bloggy friend is doing! I have spent half the morning checking her blog. If you are from Benton, Emily (Arnold) Hinton is delivering Kelly's baby. Hopefully, she will have Harper before too much longer!

A Few Pictures

Here are some pictures that I thought I would post just for fun! He is smiling so much these days! Please remember this when you look at the next picture!

Hello Brody! You can't really see it very well in this picture, but Brody is crying an actual tear. He just started doing this. It seldom happens unless he gets very, very upset (see above)! Haha!! Only one eye cries tears because he has a clogged tear duct in the other and it doesn't produce tears. We found that out when he was a week old. We have to massage it and put ointment on it. Once we do that, the duct releases the tears.

Brody's new trick! When I nurse him at night, he pulls off my glasses and holds them while he eats. He is so strong that it just takes one quick pull and they are off my face!
He has his first dry spot on his face. I feel so bad for him! I think he got it from laying on his face when he sleeps and drooling. Kind of yucky, but it happens! Hopefully, the Boudreaux's smooth skin stuff we are putting on it will make that go away pretty quickly! (Not to be confused with butt paste. We are not putting butt paste on his face!!)

His new favorite sleep position! It is so working! He slept from 7:15ish last night until 8:45 this morning! Yes he did!! I am sooooo proud!

Dear Babywise, Thank you for night time sleep. Love, Brody's parents!!

On A Roll

Edit: My sister called me after she watched this and told me I sounded like one of those stage moms on TLC. She said people will not want to sit by me at the ball park when Brody plays ball because I will yell things like, "Swing at that one", "Get your elbow up", and "Run faster"! Haha! She is totally WRONG but I thought it was funny!!!! I was just trying to give him a little encouragement during this video!!!

Little Man marked another milestone last week! He started rolling from his back to his stomach. If you remember, he started rolling from his stomach to his back when he was 5 1/2 weeks old!! Now he can roll in complete circles! He seems really entertained in his crib at night because he can now move all around it. He just rolls and scoots until he gets comfortable. He has discovered that he can sleep on his stomach now, which seems to be his new favorite position. We lay him on his back and within a few seconds, he is on his stomach asleep. It might be a coincidence, but since he has been sleeping on his stomach, he has started to sleep longer! Whatever it takes!!

Here is a video I caught of him last week rolling around. I have about 10 videos of it now because it does it all the time. His MDO teachers were telling me that they watched him roll and flop during his nap time yesterday. They still can't believe how strong and active he is right now. I think my days of having a cuddling newborn are over!

Happy Birthday Zachary!

We went to a first birthday party on Saturday for our friends, Heather and Jonathan's, little boy, Zach. It was so much fun! I can't believe that Zach is already one!! It went by so fast. It's kind of crazy because I know before we know it we will be having a first birthday around here!!

I hope Zach and Brody become good friends in the next few years. Brody and I go walking with Heather and Zach and a couple of our other friends at the mall one or two mornings a week. It's a good time for the mommies to talk and the babies to nap in their strollers. Before we know it we will have to just sit at the play area and talk while are babies play! They are growing so fast!
Here are a few more pictures from the party!

Here is a picture of Zach just getting started eating his cake.
Zach when he was finshed with his cake!! Yum!

Here is a video of Zach enjoying some of his cake!

Josh and me at the party!

Josh's parents came up for the weekend. Josh and I weren't the most entertaining people in the world, but we had a lot of fun! We have realized that people aren't coming up or over to see us anymore. Basically, we are just Brody's parents now! That's fine by me, because we are pretty proud to be his parents. I can't think of a cuter boy I would rather be a mommy to than him!

One more thing...I ran into a bloggy friend and her husband this weekend, which was so great! Actually, Josh and I met Matt and Becca once before because we have two mutual friends, but when I saw her this weekend I felt like we were really great friends because I read her blog daily. I just love her little boys! They do some pretty funny things!!! She also was the talent behind this canvas. Becca and Matt were up for the Razorback basketball game this weekend. It was a rough game. We need to all stop and have a moment of silence for our first loss at home this season.
Hope you and your family had a wonderful weekend as well!!

He finally did it!

Warning: This post is NASTY in the bathroom sense of the word, but because I use this as a "baby book" for all the memorable events in Brody's life, this story is on here. Don't read this if poop disgusts you!! :) Aunt Jilly, avoid this post.

When Brody was first born, I felt like all he did was poop. Constantly poop. He would poop like 10-12 times a day. I was so excited when it tapered off after the first month and he started only having 2 or 3 dirty diapers a day. Up until recently, he has been having 1 or 2 dirty ones a day. A few weeks ago he started having a dirty one every two days or so. It started to concern me, being that I am one of those first time "freak out because my child isn't doing what all the parenting books say and therefore, my child is abnormal and I'm failing miserably" kind of moms. You get what I'm saying!

The weekend after Christmas, I became concerned because it had been two days and no dirty diaper. Brody seemed unusually fussy and was to the point of becoming inconsolable. I decided I would just call the pediatrician and ask if there was something I could give him to make him poop, because I figured he was constipated. Long story short, I had to call the weekend number and a nurse called me back. I explained to her the situation. She asked me a whole list of questions about him. Basically, after giving her his entire life history (all 3 months of it) she told me that he was right on track for an exclusively breast fed infant at his age and that he was not constipated. Instead, his fussing was related to something else, which she assumed was gas. Her suggestion was to give him Mylicon drops and lay him on his stomach. This is the kicker. She tells me because he is breastfed, the milk is completely pure and 100% absorbent, so it wasn't necessary for him to poop everyday. As a matter of fact, she told me it was normal for a breast fed infant to go 7 or more days without pooping. She said the record she knows is 21 days without pooping and the baby wasn't constipated!! I'm sorry! What? Who in the world would like to go 21 days without pooping? Not me. Did anyone else know a baby could go that long? Ok, never mind that. Please don't make me feel stupid if you did!

So, this week, Brody went 6 or 7 days or more without pooping. Honestly, I have no idea the last time he pooped and neither does Josh. He wasn't fussy and he had tons of wet ones, so I know he was getting plenty during his feedings. After dinner tonight we smelled something. Yep! It was Brody. A weeks worth of poo came out. Josh got to enjoy that diaper and I enjoyed a good laugh. We had to change his clothes afterwards if you can only imagine that thing! Yuck!!! I chose not to include a picture with this post!!:)

Hard Drives and Baptism...A little random!

I went to pick this Free Agent Portable Hard Drive up at Office Max tonight. They had these on sale the weekend before Christmas and by the time I got there to buy one, they were sold out. I placed at order for one and got the sale price which was $99.99 (they were originally $149.99)!!! I called OM today and they said it had just arrived, so I headed there to pick it up. My grandparents gave Josh and me money for Christmas, so we thought this would be something we could both enjoy. It holds 320 GB. We needed something to back up all our precious (1500 or so!) pictures of Brody on and something to save all our music from itunes on as well. We learned the hard way this summer when our computer crashed and we had to reload everything. Fortunately, we save pictures to some websites and had some on cds so we retrieved all of them, but we had to get some of our music back. Now we will not have to worry about that! This thing can hold 104,000 pictures. That might get us to preschool!! Haha!!

I also want to store my college papers from my laptop onto this as well. My dad said he and I worked hard on those!! Haha! Seriously, I have a paper on the Doctrine Of Baptism that is like 20 something pages long and took me a whole semester to write. It's the BIG paper your senior year if you are a Biblical/Christian Studies major. If I lost that thing I would DIE!!!!!!! No joke, it was the most time consuming thing I have ever done in my life. My college roomie and I spent many nights reading about the Biblical view of baptism for these papers. It was for our theology class. Michelle and I, along with all our friends, dreaded that class for 7 semesters. Then, our last semester, we took it and it was honestly one of my favorite classes in college. You would not believe how much I learned about the Bible. It was soooooo hard, but well worth the time and effort we had to put into it!

Sometimes I wish I was still back in college. I loved college and I really wish I still knew all the things I learned in college, but I think some left my head during pregnancy!! Haha! Maybe one day I will have time to go back and read some of those books I had to read for classes in college. I still wish we could have had text books on tape! How awesome would that have been???

Random Things

First, Brody had a great day at MDO yesterday!! Thank you for your encouragement! His teacher said he was the most active and playful 3 month old she had ever seen. She said he played with the play gym and did really well taking his bottles from her. He smiled so big when I walked in the room and started kicking his little legs! It made my day!! He is going back Thursday and I'm hoping he will have another great day! I enjoyed being able to run errands quickly and catch-up on a few things around the house.

Today, I cleaned out two closets at our house. It felt really good to start to get some things organized again. I feel like I have put that off lately for obvious reasons, so I'm trying to get control of the clutter this week!!!

The new season of my most favorite show started tonight. Sigh. I LOVEEEEEE The Biggest Loser. I cried in the intro tonight just because I want them to lose weight so bad!! I already have a few teams I really like!!

In honor of watching Biggest Loser, I am about to go make some chocolate chip cookies. Can you believe I would ever want to bake cookies again after all that baking last month? Haha! This will be easy compared to 1800! I need a snack so I can watch the show and watch the Razorbacks play, I mean beat, Texas tonight!!!

GO HOGS!!!

Mother's Day Out

I took Brody to MDO for the first time this morning. I have so many emotions about it. I'm sad, nervous, anxious, but at the same time I know this is so good for both of us.

It's the first time I have left him. Well, really left him. He has occasionally stayed with grandparents or Jill, but only for a few hours. It's not about it being with someone that isn't family. It's just about leaving him and spending the day without him. Actually, it's walking out the door and knowing that today someone else will do my job. Someone else will hold him. Someone else will feed him. Someone else will play with him. Someone else will rock him and lay him down for a nap.

I got all my crying out yesterday afternoon. I looked like someone had beat me up by the time last night rolled around. This morning I woke up and realized I needed to just put my big girl pants on and take him. We had a very easy morning getting ready. I was dressed and even had make-up on when I dropped him off, which is an accomplishment these days. He looked really cute in his sweet little clothes. I stressed over what to put him in, because you know all the other infants really care what he is wearing. I organized the diaper bag to the point that is was almost ridiculous and I never think you can be too organized, but I pushed it today. I put way too many diapers in there, as if he is going to need that many. I made sure all of his embroidered things were with him, such as a blanket, burp rag, etc. I sent 3 pacifiers. One is on a clip. You know he can't be without the paci.

When I carried him in he was asleep. He was the youngest one there today, but will soon have some little friends there his age and younger. He looked so sweet when I left. He was just sleeping in the sweet teacher's arms. I wanted to stay outside and stare in the window all day, but I thought they may call the police and that would be embarrassing. I tried not to give too many instructions when I left. I told them the times he would need to eat and that was about it. I didn't cry. It's just felt weird to let go a little this morning. It felt weird to trust someone else to take care of him. It wouldn't have matter to me if it had been my mom in there watching him. It still would have been so hard to leave.

I have had lots of errands to run today and things to do to keep me busy. I've only cried once, which is pretty good I think. I know it will soon be easy to take him. I'm know that I will even look forward to those days. Just today was hard. No one can really prepare you for the way it feels to have to let go a little. Pre-school will make me sad. Kindergarten will be even harder. By the time he goes to college I will be medicated I'm sure! Haha!

I'm looking forward to 2:00!!

Happy 3 Month Birthday!

Today, Brody is 3 months old! Does anyone else think this is going by really fast besides me? We put Josh's hat on him tonight. I think he is sooooo cute!

Brody has really started showing his personality this past month! He laughs and smiles at us so much now, too! We basically will do anything, and I mean anything, to make him smile! Josh makes fun of me so bad because I sing this same little made up song to Brody about 10 times a day, but it makes him smile, so it's worth it to me! He is also getting better at sitting up on his own when he is propped up on the couch or on our bed, or in the bumbo. He also found his hands this month and has a major fascination with them. Thankfully, they go everywhere with him, so he is totally entertained in the car by staring at them. The very best thing that has happened this past month is that he is sleeping around 8-12 hours a night! Except for the occasional night when he just feels like hanging out with one of us. We are fun people! What can I say? Haha!

Tonight we had our monthly birthday cake. A sad story before I show you the pictures from tonight. We always get our cakes from Rick's Bakery. Mom went there yesterday to order Brody's cake. She called me from the parking lot to tell me Rick's was closed for the holidays and wouldn't be open again until Monday. I didn't want to not celebrate today, and we have to have a cake, so Mom got one at Harp's instead. The cake was really good, but I'm telling you, Rick's cakes are soooo good and soooo cute!! You just can't beat them! We will have one from there on February 3rd!

Here area few pictures from tonight!
The cake
When I put the cake down in the chair for the picture, he started kicking his legs and got icing all over his sock! From now on, one of us will have to hold the cakes!

Because I'm such a good mom, I let him lick a little icing! Haha! He loved it!

13 Weeks

Brody is 13 weeks old today...and tomorrow he will be 3 months old!! I thought it would be fun to show a picture of how much he has changed in 13 weeks.

If you remember, this is the picture I posted of him and me when he was one week old. Here is a picture of Brody and me today at 13 weeks old.He wore a cute little sweater with these pants today, but Josh said it was "fruity", so I didn't put it back on him for this picture. Just for the record, it wasn't fruity, it was a cute little blue cardigan!

2008: Year in Review

Wow! What a year! Here are a few highlights from 2008!

January: Josh and I joined our church. We wanted somewhere to get plugged in as newly weds! We could not have found a place that fits us any better. We LOVE our connection group and the wonderful friends we have made this year! We also went to a marriage conference in Branson with our church. It was great, too!February: We got a little suprise! I took the test on a Sunday night right after we left a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese for a little boy in my class. After spending the evening with those 4 year olds, I thought it would be years before I had kids! haha! The Lord has a sense of humor!
This is how we told our parents just a few days later. The booties were for Jill. We told them we had Valentine's gifts for them since it was just a couple days after Valentine's day. These were inside the bags!March: We heard that sweet baby's heartbeat!

May: It's a boy! We were beyond excited! I knew the whole time I was having a boy. I told everyone I was and I even dreamed I was having a boy as soon as I found out I was pregnant!
June: Started working on the nursery. July: We went on vacation to Destin with Josh's parents when I was 27 weeks pregnant! I wore 55 spf and burned like a lobster. Apparently you are sun sensitive when you are pregnant!!

August: I went to a Razorback game 35 weeks pregnant and sat through the entire game without going to the bathroom! I felt like a champ!
October 3rd: Our boy was born! What a perfect day!!
November: Celebrated our first year of marriage! A very busy first year!

The rest of the year: Lots of fun times with our family! We have enjoyed being parents sooooo much! I'm glad the Lord knew what we really needed! Our plan for 2008 would have been so boring compared to this!
